Gifts in-kind . . .help us operate our Home more efficiently

For more than 136 years, the community’s generosity has always help support the Home through in-kind gifts. The cost of caring for the elderly poor in a manner respectful of their dignity far exceeds the income received from the Resident’s pensions, Social Security or Medicaid. And so, in order to cover the constant deficit, we rely on God’s Providence and the support of the community. “Begging” has always been a daily part of our lives since Blessed Foundress Jeanne Jugan went door-to-door asking for the provisions she needed for her “little family".".
