Services

The Little Sisters of the Poor of the Poor Offer a continuum of care, ranging from independent living, to personal care (assisted living, and to nursing care to the elderly poor.  Providing a continuum of care ensures our Residents can remain in our Home no matter what level of care they need.  This is not only what the elderly person desires, but also what medical research proves to be enriching and life-lengthening.

  • Our Independent Living Apartments are open.

  • Our personal care (assisted living) area offers each Resident a large bedroom with a separate, full bathroom. Each bedroom is part of a Household of 12 Residents, sharing a common living room, full sized kitchen, dining room, laundry room and secured porches. Assistance is available if need be in managing personal laundry, and personal needs. All meals and housekeeping are provided to the Residents at this level of care. One nurse works between two Households, and one nursing assistant is on duty in each Household.

  • Our nursing care area provides nursing supervision to Residents who require nursing care and assistance with bathing, toileting, and/or dressing. The bedrooms and Household design for the nursing care Households is identical to those for personal care. However, at this level of care, one nurse works between two households, and two certified nursing assistants are on duty in each Household.

    Admissions

  • At present, we are not accepting new applications, nor names for a waiting list.

  • Two primary requirements for admission are that the applicant be over the age of 60 and be financially needy. It is the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor to serve the needs of the elderly poor. Additionally, admission to our Home focuses upon those who desire and are eligible for independent living. In this way, we can retain assisted living or nursing care space for Residents whose need for care increases, as they live with us. Our Home is ecumenical. All faiths are welcomed ans worship here.

  • Monthly charges and individuals’ payment rates are different for each level of care.
