St. Peter's Life Teen Group from Greenville, North Carolina Help Out at Little Sisters of the Poor

July 25, 2007
Contact: Sister Mary Vincent, Administrator (412) 307-1100

A group of teens from St. Peter Parish in Greenville, North Carolina are visiting the Little Sisters of the Poor Home. They are part of a group of 100 teens traveling to different sites throughout the diocese during the week of July 21 - 28. They are helping with the removal of old stoves, refrigerators, hand rails and other metal from the James P. Wall building in preparation for renovation.

For the past 21 years, St. Peter Parish has sponsored a mission trip and this was their fifth trip to Pittsburgh. The group also visited Jubilee Kitchen, East End Cooperative Ministries, and the Holy Family Institute.

“We are so thankful that these young people have volunteered their time to come to our Home and help us,” said Sister Mary Vincent. “We look forward to seeing them again soon.”
